BosNOMA A.R.E Scholarship

We are excited to offer the BosNOMA ARE Scholarship in Q3 2023! A recipient will be selected in June. Please apply for the scholarship, if you meet the eligibility criteria, using this link.

- BosNOMA will cover (1) ARE exam for selected members**

- Lottery system every quarter for (1) eligible member

Eligibility:

  • Current NOMA and/or NOMAS member in the Greater Boston Area

  • (1) ARE test fee not covered by member's company or school*

  • Not a BosNOMA ARE Scholarship recipient of the last (2) quarters

*If a selected member's company or school covers fee partially, BosNOMA will cover the difference and select a second member to receive the remaining amount.

**Scholarship can also be applied to past exams (up to last quarter). A passing score is not required.


AIA New York - The 2030 Fund

The 2030 Fund seeks to support NOMA’s 2030 Challenge, which aims to double the number of licensed Black architects by the end of the decade, by providing student loan debt relief and licensure support for aspiring BIPOC architects across the United States pursuing licensure.

Successful awardees will receive a one-time payment of up to $2,500 towards student loans. The award also provides recipients with free enrollment in AIANY’s ARE prep courses and the opportunity to meet quarterly with an AIANY Board mentor, who will help recipients navigate the licensure process.

Hip Hop Architecture Scholarship

Michael Ford’s $10,000.00 Hip Hop Architecture Scholarship awards $2,500 per year for four years, totaling $10,000.00 to a minority high school senior who accepted into a 4 year college or university to study architecture.

Recipients will be contacted to reapply for the scholarship when entering graduate school.

Hoffmann Diversity Advancement Scholarship

The Connecticut Architecture Foundation, in partnership with Hoffmann Architects and Engineers, a Connecticut-based architecture and engineering firm specializing in building exteriors, is pleased to offer this scholarship, starting in 2023, to students from underrepresented racial or ethnic groups who are seeking degrees in architecture or engineering.

Hoffmann Architects + Engineers may offer scholarship recipients the opportunity for a paid internship in one of the firm’s three offices (New Haven CT, New York NY, and Alexandria VA).

Profesional women in construction - Boston scholarship

The Boston Chapter of PWC is proud to offer a scholarship to high school seniors and post-secondary students regardless of gender in New England that plan to pursue or are currently pursuing a career in architecture, engineering, construction, or related trades and fields including trade school, community college, graduate degrees, etc. in support of this mission.

The award can be used for any educational expense, including tuition, fees, books, room and board, etc. This is a one-time award, but past recipients may reapply.
